What Is Fire Protection Sleeve
Fire protection sleeve is a sleeve designed for protecting a wide range of hoses. Made from “E” glass fibre yarn knitted to form a sleeve and coated with high grade iron oxide silicone elastomer rubber. When exposed to flame, the high grade rubber will form a protective SiO² layer.
The fire protection sleeve has two uses. Firstly protecting hoses and pipes in the event of a fire so should they contain anything flammable they do not add to the situation. Alongside this, the fire protection sleeves we have to offer, keep heat trapped inside thus lowering the possibility of burning yourself on hot pipes and ducting.
Our fire protection sleeve can offer protection continuously upto 260ºC as well as being able to withstand a molten splash at upto 1200ºC. Alongside this, fire protection sleeves are extremely resistant to abrasion due to their hardwearing structure.
