An Air Regulator and Filter/Regulator conditions compressed air before it reaches equipment:
Regulator: An air regulator is used to control and maintain a consistent air pressure in a compressed air system. It reduces the high, fluctuating pressure from the air supply to a lower, stable pressure suitable for tools or equipment by adjusting a control knob, and it helps protect devices from damage while ensuring proper operation.
A spring-loaded diaphragm or piston opens or closes a valve to maintain the set pressure despite changes in flow or supply.
Filter: Incoming compressed air passes through a filter element that traps dirt, rust, and debris. Moisture is separated by centrifugal action and collected in a bowl, often with a drain.
Together, they deliver clean, dry air at a controlled pressure, protecting downstream tools and systems.
